Isolated thunderstorms will roam locations along and east of the Mississippi River today. Plentiful low level moisture from recent rains and light to calm winds has resulted in areas of dense fog early this morning. Visibility will be reduced to near zero in some locations, making travel hazardous for motorists. If the fog becomes widespread a dense fog advisory will be issued. The fog should gradually lift by 9 or 10 am. Motorists should drive with extra caution and allow additional travel time. Use low beams, reduce speed, and allow for plenty of room between you and other vehicles. Be especially cautious near intersections and school zones. $$ Gunkel
