Area tributary rivers and lower portions of the Mississippi River are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY There will be a chance for scattered to isolated thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening, mainly along and north of Interstate 80. Some of these storms may be strong with hail and gusty winds. There is a Marginal Risk, or level 1 out of 5 for severe storms across portions of extreme east central Iowa into northwestern Illinois Thursday afternoon and evening. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight. However, there is a low chance that spotter activation will be needed Thursday afternoon across northwestern Illinois. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Flood Stage. Water affects County Road E63
north of the river near Toronto and affects the lowest roads in
Buena Vista.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.2 feet.
- The river is finishing a broad crest.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 9.5 feet
