This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Gusty southeast winds between 25 to 35 mph may lead to periods of
shallow blowing snow and significant drifting in open and rural
areas through this evening, especially west and north of the Quad
Cities.

A quick-hitting band of accumulating snow will move from west to
east mainly along and north of I-80 through the evening. A Winter
Weather Advisory has been expanded for areas generally along and
north of the Highway 30 corridor. This area has the highest
chances for receiving a quick 1 to 3 inches of snow, that will be
accompanied by gusty southeast winds around 30 mph and reduced
visibility at times to under a half mile.

Late tonight into early Saturday morning, locations along and
south of Interstate 80 may have a period of freezing drizzle or
light freezing rain leading to a thin glaze of ice on untreated
surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

More mixed precipitation and snow is expected Saturday and
Saturday night, possibly lingering into Sunday morning. More
snow accumulations will be probable on Saturday. Increasing
northeast winds may produce blowing and drifting snow late
Saturday afternoon and into the evening.

Colder air will expand into the region Sunday night and persist
into at least the middle of next week. Wind chills of 15 to 30
below zero are currently favored for some nighttime and morning
periods within that time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snowfall reports of 1 inch or more would be appreciated this
evening and tonight.
