Northern Panhandle-Central Panhandle Mountains-
Including the cities of Sandpoint, Rathdrum, Bonners Ferry,
Priest River, Clark Fork, Eastport, Kellogg, St Maries,
Pinehurst, Osburn, Wallace, Mullan, Lookout Pass, and Fernwood
359 AM PST Tue Feb 27 2024

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 4 PM
PST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations above 3000
  feet of 8 to 12 inches. Total snow accumulations below 3000
  feet 2 to 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Panhandle and Central Panhandle Mountains.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM PST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Expect winter driving conditions in the mountains.
  Ridges exposed to southwest wind will experience blowing and
  drifting snow. Isolated power outages may also occur due to the
  gusty winds.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to an inch per hour are
  possible in the mountains.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
