...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
  6 inches possible in the valleys and 6 to 12 inches possible in
  the mountains. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph causing areas of
  blowing and drifting snow.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and west central
  Idaho and northeast and southeast Oregon.

* WHEN...From late Wednesday night through Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult.
  The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and
  evening commutes.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM MST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold temperatures as low as 25 below zero in the
  higher Idaho basins, 15 below in eastern Oregon, 5 below zero in
  the Idaho valleys.  Wednesday morning will be the coldest period.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and west central
  Idaho and southeast Oregon.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures. Very cold temperatures can lead
  to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
