Increasing north winds with gusts up to 30 mph, may produce blowing and drifting snow in open and rural areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY Areas of light snow may produce a few slick spots Sunday morning especially across northwest Illinois. Strong northwest winds gusting up to 35 MPH on Sunday may lead to blowing and drifting snow in open and rural areas, especially on west to east oriented roads. An arctic air mass will move into the region Sunday night and persist into at least the middle of next week.
