EVENING...

* WHAT...Light snow, mixed at times with light freezing rain and
  freezing drizzle. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch and
  ice accumulations of a light glaze on untreated surfaces.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Illinois and east central and
  southeast Iowa.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Periods of snow are expected today with most of the accumulating
snow expected along and northwest of a line from Sigourney, Iowa
to Freeport, Illinois, where an additional 1 to 2 inches is
possible. Southeast of this line, around 1 inch or less is
anticipated.

Increasing north winds tonight, with gusts up to 30 mph, may
produce blowing and drifting snow in open and rural areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Strong northwest winds on Sunday, gusting up to 35 mph, may lead
to blowing and drifting snow in open and rural areas.

An arctic air mass will move into the region Sunday night and
persist into at least the middle of next week. Bitterly cold wind
chills of 15 to 30 below zero are forecast for some nighttime and
morning periods within that time.
