This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Warm, dry and windy conditions will lead to critical fire danger
today. These conditions will be conducive for the rapid spread and
growth of uncontrolled wildfires. As a result, outdoor burning is
not recommended.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Warm, dry and breezy conditions will lead to an elevated fire
danger again on Tuesday, especially along and south of Interstate
80.

There is a chance of thunderstorms late Tuesday evening into
early Wednesday morning. Isolated severe storms with large hail
are possible. The Storm Prediction Center has placed portions of
the area in a Marginal or level 1 out of 5 risk for severe
weather.

Additional thunderstorms are possible mid Wednesday afternoon
into early Wednesday evening. Isolated severe storms with all
hazards are possible, and much of the area is outlooked in
another Marginal or level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather.

A strong March storm system will move across the area late
Wednesday afternoon and evening. Much colder air moving in
behind on strong winds will change the rain over to snow.
Some accumulation is possible, with the probabilities for
greater than 1 inch at 30 to 50 percent northwest of a Cedar
Rapids to Dubuque line. The strong winds occurring with falling
snow could lead to periods of low visibility potentially
impacting travel. Stay tuned if you have travel plans across
the area, and especially through northern Iowa and into Minnesota
and Wisconsin.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight.
