This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be seen today and
tonight. The Storm Prediction Center has a marginal, level 1 out
of 5, risk for severe storms south of highway 30. Damaging winds,
hail, and heavy rainfall are the main risks. If severe storms
develop, the most likely time frame is 2 to 8 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

Heat and humidity will return to the area Saturday into next week.
Peak afternoon heat indices will be minimally 95 to 100.

The potential exists for a near daily risk of thunderstorms from
Sunday through Tuesday. At this time it is too early to determine
a severe risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

To the southeast at 30 to 35 mph.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...

  Rock River near Joslin affecting Henry IL, Rock Island and
  Whiteside Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued by Wednesday evening at 915 PM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Rock River near Joslin.

* WHEN...Until Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flooding of unprotected agricultural land
  occurs. Water also affects Lundeens Landing Campground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.3 feet and falling.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Monday morning and continue falling to 11.6 feet Tuesday,
    July 30.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
