DISCUSSION... A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move across northern Illinois and northwestern Indiana late this evening and overnight. Damaging straight-line winds are the greatest concern, although large hail and tornadoes also remain possible. Winds out of the south will gust as high as 55 mph mid to late this evening, highest within a few hours of storms arriving tonight. A few brief gusts to around 60 mph are probable.
