This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated Fog Risk this Morning.
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk Overnight.

DISCUSSION...

Areas of fog this morning are dense in some patches.
Improvement is expected by mid to late morning, with locations
near the lake likely seeing the slowest improvement.

There is a slight chance of non-severe thunderstorms in north
central Illinois overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Elevated Flooding Risk.
Friday...
  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
  Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Limited Flooding Risk.
Sunday and Monday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A system moving over the region on Wednesday afternoon and night
will likely produce a period of heavy rainfall south of Interstate
80. This may result in flooding and possibly a flash flood risk.
In addition, there is a chance for a severe thunderstorm or two
south of Interstate 80 on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

By Friday Night and into the weekend, the potential is increasing
for a more active thunderstorm pattern over the region, with a
possible risk for periodic strong to severe thunderstorms and at
least a localized flash flooding risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

  Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning.

* VISIBILITY...Less than one quarter mile.

* IMPACTS...Sharply reduced and quickly varying visibilities will
  result in hazardous driving conditions, including along Lake
  Shore Drive in Chicago as well as interstates and rural roads
  across northeastern and north-central Illinois.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down...
use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
