Weather hazards expected... Limited Fog Risk. DISCUSSION... Patchy fog may develop after midnight across portions of interior northern Illinois. If fog develops, a few spots of dense fog with sharply reduced visibility may linger into early Wednesday morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Wednesday... Limited Thunderstorm Risk at night. Limited Fog Risk in the morning. Thursday... Significant Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk. Limited Thunderstorm Risk. DISCUSSION: A strong low pressure area will move across the region late Wednesday night through Thursday. The path of the low pressure will result in strong to potentially damaging wind gusts in its wake on Thursday. The threat for southwest to west wind gusts to 60 mph and wind damage is highest near and south of the Kankakee River Valley in Illinois and Indiana. There is a chance of thunderstorms late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, mainly for areas south of Interstate 80. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible across the area, though the threat for flash flooding appears minimal.
