Weather hazards expected... Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Level 1 of 5 Large Hail Risk...up to 1 inch in diameter. DISCUSSION... Scattered thunderstorms are expected to spread east-northeastward later tonight into the predawn hours of Friday. The strongest storms will be capable of producing hail, some as large as one inch in diameter. The best chance for marginally severe hail is expected to be roughly south of a Dixon to Joliet to Hebron, Indiana line. While heavy downpours may cause ponding on some roads, widespread flash flooding is not currently expected with tonight`s showers and thunderstorms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Friday Morning... Limited Thunderstorm Risk. Friday Afternoon and Night... Limited Non-Thunderstorm Wind Risk. Saturday Night and Sunday... Limited Thunderstorm Risk. DISCUSSION... Lingering thunderstorms into Friday morning should exit the area by midday. Southwest winds will likely gust up to 40 to 45 mph Friday afternoon into or through the evening. Thunderstorms Sunday afternoon could be strong, particularly east of I-57. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter reports of hail overnight would be appreciated.
