This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero are expected early this morning
mainly north of Interstate 80.

Gusty southeast winds between 25 to 35 mph may lead to periods of
shallow blowing snow and significant drifting in open and rural
areas this afternoon and evening, especially west and north of the
Quad Cities.

For late this afternoon into early tonight, a quick-hitting
accumulating snow is expected, mainly north of I-80. A Winter
Weather Advisory has been issued for counties along the Highway
20 corridor, from Dubuque and points to the east. This area has
the highest chances for receiving a quick 1 to 3 inches of snow,
that will be accompanied by gusty southeast winds around 30 mph
and reduced visibilities to under a half mile.

Late tonight into early Saturday morning, locations along and
south of Interstate 80 may have a period of freezing drizzle
leading to a thin glaze of ice.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

More mixed precipitation and snow is expected Saturday and
Saturday night possibly lingering into Sunday morning, with
some accumulations probable.

Colder air will expand into the region Sunday night and persist
into at least the middle of next week. Wind chills of 15 to 30
below zero are currently favored for some nighttime and morning
periods within that time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Snowfall reports of 1 inch or more would be appreciated this
evening and tonight.
