This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Light snow is possible tonight, mainly northwest of a Cedar Rapids
to Freeport Illinois line. Any accumulation is expected to be
under 1 inch.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A winter storm is expected to impact the entire outlook area
Wednesday and Wednesday night. A winter storm watch has been
issued for much of eastern Iowa, northeast Missouri, and northwest
Illinois. There is greater than a 60% chance of amounts over 6
inches of light fluffy snow for much of the outlook area. This
snow combined with north winds is expected to cause travel
impacts to both the morning and evening commutes Wednesday.

Another storm system is forecast for Friday night through
Saturday, with additional accumulating snow.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
  8 inches possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northwest, and west central
  Illinois and east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa.

* WHEN...From Wednesday morning through late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North winds 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up 25
  mph may cause some blowing and drifting snow, especially on
  east-west roads.
