This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois, east
central Illinois and west central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Strong south winds gusting 30-40 mph are expected through early this
evening. This paired with dry soils could lead to blowing dust and
rapid visibility changes in open areas.

A cold front will bring scattered thunderstorms to the area late
tonight through Tuesday morning. Some of these storms could be
severe with damaging wind gusts and hail being the primary risks.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Additional thunderstorms are possible Wednesday and Thursday.

...STRONG WINDS, LOCALIZED BLOWING DUST TODAY...

Dry soils will combine with south winds gusting 30 to 40 mph this
afternoon to increase the risk of blowing dust with spring plowing.
This could result in localized hazardous driving conditions due to
reduced visibility, especially along west to east oriented roadways
in rural areas. If you encounter blowing dust, slow down and pull off
the roadway as far as possible.
