This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central
Illinois and east central Illinois.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this evening. Some of the
storms could become severe, with damaging wind gusts and large
hail being the primary threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY...

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible Friday,
although organized severe weather is not expected.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed...primarily between 4 pm and
10 pm.

The National Weather Service in Lincoln has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  East central Coles County in east central Illinois...
  Southern Edgar County in east central Illinois...

* Until 300 AM CDT.

* At 1252 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across eastern Coles and
  southwest Edgar Counties. This area has received 2 to 4 inches of
  rain thus far, and another round of heavy rain will impact the
  area through 3 am.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Paris, Kansas, Ashmore, Vermilion, Redmon, Oliver, Isabel, Bell
  Ridge, Sandford and Borton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
