This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern and
central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

A Red Flag Warning for Critical Fire Danger now includes most of the
area until 7 pm. Strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry
vegetation will favor erratic and rapid fire growth.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms with gusty winds in
northeastern Missouri and west-central Illinois this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

There is a chance of thunderstorms Saturday night into Sunday across
much of the area. A few of these thunderstorms could be strong to
severe west of the Mississippi River with marginally severe hail.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Thursday.

EAST-CENTRAL MISSOURI AS WELL AS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS...

* AFFECTED AREA...In Illinois, Fire Weather Zones 058, 059, 060,
  064, 069, 074, 079, 097, 098, 099, 100, 101 and 102. In
  Missouri, Fire Weather Zones 036, 041, 042, 047, 048, 049,
  050, 051, 052, 059, 060, 061, 062, 063, 064, 065, 072, 073,
  074, 075, 083, 084, 085 and 099.

* TIMING...Noon to 7 PM CDT.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 17 percent.

* IMPACTS...These conditions are conducive for the rapid spread
  and growth of uncontrolled wildfires.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels can contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
