A few thunderstorms are expected late this afternoon, with better chances this evening. Some of these storms could be on the strong side, but the severe weather threat will be diminishing past sunset. Ahead of the storms, heat index values will peak around 100 to 105 degrees this afternoon. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. There will be daily chances for showers and thunderstorms Thursday through Tuesday. A few severe storms are possible Thursday afternoon.
