Damaging winds are the primary hazard, but all modes of severe weather are possible, should a storm develop. A wind advisory is in effect today, refer to the advisory for specifics. Heightened fire danger exists throughout the region, but is highest in southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois, where a Red Flag warning is in effect.
