This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

There is a risk for severe storms this afternoon into evening.
Damaging winds are the primary hazard, but all modes of severe
weather are possible, should a storm develop.

A wind advisory is in effect today, refer to the advisory for
specifics.

Heightened fire danger exists throughout the region, but is
highest in southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois, where a Red
Flag warning is in effect. Refer to the warning for more details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorms are in the forecast again Sunday and strong storms
cannot be ruled out.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50
  mph. Isolated higher gusts are possible.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
  Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The combination of gusty south winds and dry
  conditions will continue the heightened risk of fire danger.
  Unattended fires could quickly spread out of control.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS...

* Affected Area...In Illinois, Fire Weather Zones 075, 076, 080,
  081, 082, 084, 085, 086, 088, 089, 092 and 093. In Missouri,
  Fire Weather Zones 076, 086, 087, 098, 100, 106, 107, 108,
  109, 110, 111, 112 and 114.

* Winds...Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to around 50 mph.

* Relative Humidity...As low as 20 to 25 percent.

* 10 Hour Fuels...as low as 6 to 8 percent.

* Impacts...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
