This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Dangerous travel and extremely cold conditions will continue
across the region. Light to moderate snow will taper off after
sunset while cold northwest winds keep wind chills near or below
zero. Wind chills tonight are expected to drop as low as -12.

Widespread river flooding continues on the Ohio and Green River
systems.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Dangerously cold wind chills will continue through Thursday
morning and air temperatures will drop to near zero Friday
morning.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches
  leading to storm total accumulations of 4 to 6 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and
  western Kentucky.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall will persist through around daybreak
  Wednesday morning. Exceptional cold and blowing snow will further
  add to the danger of travel overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills only increasing to near or below zero
  today falling to 10 to 13 below tonight.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
  Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM CST /11 AM EST/ Thursday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could
  result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
