Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
  Significant Fog Risk, mainly near Lake Michigan.

DISCUSSION...

Dense fog is expected to persist near the Lake Michigan shore
tonight, and may expand farther inland across northeast Illinois.

An area of showers and thunderstorms may affect areas west of
I-39 late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
  Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 2 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Limited Flooding Risk in the morning.
  Limited Fog Risk in the morning.
Saturday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

A period of showers and embedded thunderstorms are expected
Friday morning and early afternoon. Heavy rain and localized
flooding is possible with these thunderstorms. Additional
isolated thunderstorms are possible late Friday afternoon and
evening, when any stronger thunderstorms may be capable of
producing hail. Another round of scattered strong to potentially
severe thunderstorms are then expected to gradually push across
the region late Friday through early Saturday.

  Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
