...AREAS OF SLIPPERY TRAVEL DUE TO ACCUMULATING WET SNOW...

A band of heavy wet snow will continue to shift eastward across
northern IL this morning. While road temperatures will remain
above freezing, the snow is falling at a heavy enough rate to
result in slushy accumulations especially on bridges, overpasses,
and side streets. This in combination with sharply reduced
visibility, down to a half mile at times, will result in a period
of hazardous travel across the area this morning.

Conditions will improve as the snow tapers from west to east this
afternoon.
