Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
  High Swim Risk.

DISCUSSION...

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms today over mainly
northwest Indiana.

Minor lakeshore flooding and very dangerous waves are expected
along the lake tonight, especially late.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
  Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk near the lake.
  Significant Lakeshore Flood Risk.
  High Swim Risk.
Thursday...
  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk near the lake.
  Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
  High Swim Risk.
Friday...
  Elevated Fire Weather Risk.

AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING...
...LAKESHORE FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM WEDNESDAY TO 4 AM
CDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Large and battering waves, building up to 10 to 14 feet
  Wednesday into Wednesday evening will result in beach erosion
  as well as minor lakeshore flooding.

* WHERE...Northern Cook and Central Cook Counties.

* WHEN...For the Lakeshore Flood Advisory, from 7 AM Wednesday
  to 4 AM CDT Thursday. For the Beach Hazards Statement, from 3
  PM CDT this afternoon through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property along the
  lakeshore. Swimming conditions will be life threatening,
  especially for inexperienced swimmers. For information on swim
  advisories or bans at Chicago beaches: www. cpdbeaches. com.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Residents on or near the shore should take appropriate action to
protect property from rising water levels.

Remain out of the water to avoid dangerous swimming conditions
and do not venture out onto piers, jetties, breakwalls, or other
shoreline structures.
