...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO NOON CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Wind gusts from the west up to 45 to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois, and
  far northwest Indiana, mainly along and north of Interstate 80.

* WHEN...From 2 AM tonight to noon CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,
  such as outdoor holiday decorations. Tree limbs could be blown
  down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Driving will be difficult for high profile
  vehicles, especially on north to south roadways.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

 Limited Thunderstorm Risk through early evening.
 Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk overnight.

DISCUSSION...

A few embedded non-severe thunderstorms are possible through early
evening, primarily along and east of Interstate 55.

Westerly winds will gust to around 45 to possibly 50 mph late
tonight as a strong cold front moves through the region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday...
  Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

West to northwest winds will gust up to 40 to 50 mph Monday,
primarily in the morning and with the highest gusts along and
north of I-80.

A much colder airmass will overspread the region Monday night,
and wind chill values may lower to near zero across parts of
northern Illinois by early Tuesday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

  Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

 Moving toward the east-northeast at 40-45 mph.
