...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS
EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Indiana and east central Indiana,
  including the following areas, in central Indiana, Decatur,
  Hamilton, Hancock, Howard, Madison, Rush, Shelby, and Tipton.
  In east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph.

* Until 8 PM EDT this evening

* Locally heavy rain remains a threat today with the potential for
  up to 1 inch in some locations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Hamilton County in central Indiana...
  Southern Tipton County in central Indiana...

* Until 1100 AM EDT.

* Local law enforcement and emergency management continued to report
  flooding in several spots around Hamilton County and in the Kokomo
  area . Up to two to four inches of rain has already fallen in
  the last 24 hours with more expected today.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, Cicero, Sheridan, Arcadia,
  Atlanta and Morse Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Outlook: A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for much of Central
Indiana. Heavy rain from showers and storm may result in Flash
Flooding.

Hazards: Heavy Rain resulting in Flash Flooding. Lightning.

Timing: Showers and Thunderstorms...possibly with heavy rain are
mostly likely to occur this morning.

Discussion: Low pressure push across Central Indiana today will
result in scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Outlook: Thunderstorms are possible on Friday afternoon through
Wednesday. Additional heavy rain is possible over the weekend which
could also cause flooding.

Additional chances for severe weather may arrive for the weekend,
but confidence in this is low at this time.

Discussion: A couple of low pressure systems and several upper waves
will continue to keep showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for
central Indiana. Repeated heavy rainfall over the same areas could
cause flooding problems.

Spotters are encouraged to report rainfall amounts and any new
flooding.
