The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Eastern Hendricks County in central Indiana...
  Northern Johnson County in central Indiana...
  Marion County in central Indiana...
  Northeastern Morgan County in central Indiana...

* Until 515 AM EDT.

* At 216 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from scattered
  thunderstorms. Significant ponding of water on roads and low-lying
  areas is likely during periods of heavy rainfall. Minor flooding
  is expected in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Greenwood, Lawrence, Plainfield,
  Franklin, Brownsburg, Beech Grove, Speedway, Mooresville,
  Danville, Southport, Avon, New Whiteland, Cumberland, Whiteland,
  Bargersville, Pittsboro and Meridian Hills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Be
especially cautious driving at night.

This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

There is an ENHANCED RISK for severe thunderstorms tonight. Severe
storms remain possible into the early overnight. The main severe
threats will be damaging winds. Isolated tornadoes and large hail
will also be possible. Prolific lightning is expected. Heavy rainfall
and a greater risk for flash flooding will also be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

More thunderstorms are possible at times from Saturday through
Monday night and again late next week. There is a Marginal Risk for
severe weather Saturday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds,
large hail and isolated thunderstorms are possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will likely continue into the early overnight.
Spotters are also encouraged to report any flooding issues through
the night.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, south central
  Indiana, southeast Indiana and west central Indiana, including the
  following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone, Decatur,
  Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan,
  Rush and Shelby. In east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry and
  Randolph. In south central Indiana, Brown, Jackson and Monroe. In
  southeast Indiana, Jennings. In west central Indiana, Clay,
  Fountain, Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Vermillion and Vigo.

* Through Saturday morning.

* Multiple waves of showers and thunderstorms will continue this
  evening and overnight. 1 to 4 inches of rain is expected by
  Saturday morning with locally higher amounts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
