Major River flooding will continue along the White River. Other Flooding will continue in central Indiana and a Flood Watch remains in effect for much of Central Indiana. Thunderstorms are possible late tonight. Lightning is a threat with any thunderstorm. Any additional rainfall amounts could result in additional flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Thunderstorms will be possible at times through the weekend along with continued river flooding. An isolated strong to severe storm is possible on Saturday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and west
central Indiana, including the following counties, in central
Indiana, Boone, Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks,
Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Rush, Shelby and Tipton.
In east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry and Randolph. In north
central Indiana, Carroll. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain,
Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo and
Warren.
* WHEN...Through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rainfall is possible Saturday morning through
Saturday evening of which could lead to additional flooding.
This is potentially a very dangerous situation, and citizens

the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following waterways in
Indiana...
Flatrock River at Saint Paul.
Big Blue River at Carthage.
Fall Creek at Millersville and near Fortville.
Wildcat Creek at Kokomo.
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Wildcat Creek near Jerome.
Mississinewa River near Ridgeville.
.Repeating rounds of showers and thunderstorms over the past 72
hours, ending at 8 AM this morning, has brought copious rainfall to
eastern, northern central, and much of western Indiana. Maximum
radar estimates across a swath from Clinton and Howard counties
north of Indianapolis, east-southeast and southeast to Randolph and
Decatur counties, show roughly six to 12.5 inches of rain has
fallen! This has led to widespread flooding.
More rain, on and off, is in the forecast through Sunday. Please
keep abreast of changes to the forecast and our river products for
the latest.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TOMORROW AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Big Blue River at Carthage.
* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, A frequent high water level. This occurs
about two or three times a year. Local roads near the Big Blue
River flood. Water surrounds a few homes in Carthage, enters dog
houses in southern Carthage and affects used auto parts yard in
Carthage. Water is in yards in the southern outskirts of
Knightstown and extreme eastern Raysville.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:30 PM EDT Friday the stage was 9.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:30 PM EDT Friday was 11.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
