Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will be across central Indiana, mainly this afternoon and tonight. Severe storms are not expected. Heavy rain and lightning are threats from any storm. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Thunderstorms are likely at times this week. Isolated strong to marginally severe storms are possible Wednesday night, mainly across areas northwest of Indianapolis. Otherwise, lightning and locally heavy rain will be the primary threats with storms this week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Indiana, including the following
counties, Daviess and Knox.
* WHEN...Until 1215 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 811 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bicknell.
