This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Widespread river flooding will continue or is forecast to develop
along parts of the Ohio and Green Rivers.

A Flood Warning remains in effect for the Kentucky Purchase region
until noon. Refer to the statement for more details.

Light snow is possible tonight, mainly in the northern half of the
Quad State, which can produce slick spots on roads.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Accumulating snowfall with travel impacts is likely Tuesday
afternoon through Wednesday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in
effect for Missouri while a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for
the rest of the Quad State. Refer to the products for more
details.

Dangerous cold is forecast for much of the week ahead. Morning
wind chill values will be near or below zero Wednesday through
Friday, with the lowest wind chill values early Thursday morning.

Widespread river flooding will continue or is forecast to develop
along parts of the Ohio and Green Rivers.

...WINTER STORM WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH
WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
  5 inches possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and
  western Kentucky.

* WHEN...From Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road
  conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday
  evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dangerous cold temperatures will follow after
  snow ends. Low temperatures in the teens Wednesday morning and
  single digits Thursday morning will cause wind chills to drop
  below zero. The greatest impacts from the extreme cold will occur
  Thursday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

  White River at Hazleton.

.Recent rainfall of 2.0 to 3.0 inches has led to rapid rises along
southern Indiana rivers and streams.  Lowland and minor flooding
will occur along the lower White River and a portion of the East
Fort White River this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

    feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.3
    feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
