This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Widespread river flooding will continue or is forecast to develop
along parts of the Ohio and Green Rivers.

A Flood Warning remains in effect for the Kentucky Purchase region
until noon. Refer to the statement for more details.

Light snow is possible tonight, mainly in the northern half of the
Quad State, which can produce slick spots on roads.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Accumulating snowfall with travel impacts is likely Tuesday
afternoon through Wednesday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in
effect for much of the area while a winter weather advisory is in
effect from Jefferson county, IL east to Pike county, IN. Refer
to the products for more details.

Dangerous cold is forecast for much of the week ahead. Morning
wind chill values will be near or below zero Wednesday through
Friday, with the lowest wind chill values early Thursday morning.

Widespread river flooding will continue or is forecast to develop
along parts of the Ohio and Green Rivers.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

  East Fork White River at Seymour.

  White River at Petersburg and Hazleton.

.Recent rainfall of 2.0 to 3.0 inches has led to rapid rises along
southern Indiana rivers and streams.  Lowland and minor flooding
is occurring along the lower White River and a portion of the East
Fort White River. Minor flooding will continue through this week
along the lower White River with flooding expected to end near
Seymour on the East Fork White by midweek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY, FEBRUARY 24...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until Monday, February 24.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Low bottomlands flood and flooding begins
  on higher bottomlands.  State Road 257 may begin to flood if
  Shoals gage reading is over 17 feet.  Private levees may be
  overtopped in many cases.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:45 AM EST Monday /10:45 AM CST Monday/ the stage was
    17.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 11:45 AM EST Monday /10:45 AM CST Monday/ was 17.5
    feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.2
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage early Sunday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
