A few thunderstorms cannot be ruled out this afternoon through tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. A line of thunderstorms will move into the region Saturday early morning through the early afternoon. A few of these storms could be severe, with damaging wind gusts being the main threat. A brief, weak tornado cannot be completely ruled out. Another round of thunderstorms is forecast Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Some of these storms may be severe and also pose a risk for flash flooding. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Indiana...Kentucky...Illinois...
Ohio River at Newburgh Dam and Shawneetown.
.Recent and expected heavy rains are projected to raise water levels
into flood by next week on the Ohio River at Newburgh Dam and
Shawneetown. Both locations are projected to crest in minor flood
later in the week.
For the Ohio River...including Newburgh Dam, Shawneetown...Minor
flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
