...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...Kentucky...

  Ohio River at Newburgh Dam, Henderson, Mount Vernon, J.T. Myers
  Dam, Shawneetown and Golconda.

.Levels on the Ohio River will continue to drop, falling below flood
stage at Newburgh tonight, and at points from Mount Vernon to
Golconda next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHERE...Ohio River at Mount Vernon.

* WHEN...Until late Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 45.0 feet, Large portions of Point Township in Posey
  county are flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 44.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Monday afternoon and continue falling to 28.6 feet Monday,
    April 28.
  - Flood stage is 35.0 feet.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Illinois, southwest
Indiana, western Kentucky and southeast Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Strong south winds will gust 25-35 mph throughout the region
Friday. Some gusts to 40 mph or higher cannot be ruled out over
southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.

A chance for thunderstorms returns late tonight. Heavy rainfall and
strong to severe storms are both possible. The severe threat will be
focused in areas from Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Mount Carmel,
Illinois, late tonight.

Moderate to major flooding will continue on many area rivers, but
water levels will continue to fall through the weekend and into
next week. Refer to the flood warnings and statements for more
details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
