This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms today into the
early evening hours. Locally damaging winds and marginally severe
hail up to 1 inch in diameter will be possible with the strongest
storms. There is enough wind shear for a brief, weak tornado or two
as well. Otherwise locally heavy rain is likely through tonight.
This may result in local, minor flood issues.

A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect until 5 p.m. South winds will
average 10 to 20 mph with gusts 30 to 35 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorm chances linger Thursday and Friday. They are highest
Thursday, and will have a locally heavy rain and lightning hazard.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters should be prepared in case activation is requested this
afternoon or evening.

* WHAT...South winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Indiana, southeast Missouri,
  western Kentucky and southern Illinois.

* WHEN...Until 5 PM CDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create
  hazardous conditions for small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution since strong winds
and rough waves can overturn small craft.
