This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...THROUGH TONIGHT...

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

Strong northwest winds will develop across portions of the Tri-
State area on Thursday, mainly in northeast Colorado and far
northwest Kansas where sustained winds ranging from 30 to 40 mph and
gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Winds of this magnitude may create
hazardous travel conditions, particularly on well-traveled routes
such as Interstate 70 and Highway 385. Winds will be strongest
between 11 AM and 4 PM MST. Winds will rapidly weaken at or around
sunset Thursday evening.

Elevated fire weather conditions will be possible during the
afternoon hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, mainly in eastern
Colorado.
