This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A few strong thunderstorms will be possible across southeast
Kansas this evening, capable of dime sized hail and wind gusts to
50 mph. Locally heavy rain may lead to flooding.

Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will continue to affect
mainly southeast Kansas tonight. Lowland flooding will be the main
threat. See latest flood watch for additional details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Storms will remain in the forecast for Tuesday through Thursday,
especially over southeast Kansas. However, the threat for organized
severe storms appears rather low at this time.

for the following river in Kansas...

  Mulberry Creek Near Salina affecting Saline County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around don`t drown.

The National Weather Service in Wichita, KS has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Mulberry Creek Near Salina.

* From this evening until Tuesday morning.
* At 1:46 PM Monday the stage was 22.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
  rise to near 24.3 feet by this evening. The river will fall below
  flood stage by tonight.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet...Agricultural flooding can be expected. Parts
  of Halstead Road near the river gage site, which is west of Salina,
  will begin to take on water.

* Flood Warning for...
  Lincoln County in central Kansas...
  Saline County in central Kansas...

* Until 930 AM CDT Tuesday.

* At 932 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported continued flooding
  in parts of Lincoln and Saline Counties.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  rural areas of Lincoln and Saline Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
