This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow and snow showers are expected today into early this evening.
The snow could be heavy at times and wind could reduce visibility
and cause slick roadways with the greatest impact expected across
central Kansas and a portion of the Flint Hills. Refer to the Winter
Weather Warning and Winter Weather Advisory for details.

A few locations will continue to experience minor flooding problems
from the recent heavy rainfall. Please refer to the areal and river
flood warnings for additional details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

There is a slight chance of rain mixed with snow Sunday night
across central Kansas. Little, if any, accumulation or impact from
the snow is expected.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.

snow also impacting travel today.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2
  inches. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches. Winds
  gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Ellsworth and McPherson Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Visibilities will
  be reduced to near zero over a short distance. Areas of
  blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
  hazardous conditions will impact the morning and afternoon
  commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates up to 2 inches an hour are
  possible in the heavy snow band.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
