Weather hazards expected... Limited lightning risk. Elevated excessive heat risk. DISCUSSION... Daytime heat indices in the middle 90s to low 100s. Low temperatures in the lower to middle 70s will provide little relief from the hot and humid conditions of the day, increasing heat risk. Isolated to scattered pulse showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the area this afternoon into early evening. Any showers would be short-lived and localized, and most will stay dry with rain chances less than 35%. Potential hazards from these storms would be lightning and briefly heavy rainfall with localized accumulations around a quarter inch from the strongest storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Heat index values in the middle 90s to low 100s will occur each day this week and into the weekend.
