This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Elevated hail risk.
  Elevated thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited excessive heat risk.


There is the potential for a few clusters of thunderstorms to
track east and southeast through the outlook area late tonight,
especially north of Interstate 44. If these storms materialize,
damaging straight line winds, hail up to the size of half dollars,
frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall will be possible.
This will include a limited risk for flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Heat index values on Friday and Saturday will approach 100
degrees. Additional showers and storms will again return to the
area by Saturday night.


 Spotter activation may be needed late tonight mainly north of
 Interstate 44.
