This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Afternoon heat indices will reach 100 to 105 degrees today

A few hit-or-miss thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and
evening over eastern Kansas, and also across portions of central
and north-central Kansas. The strongest activity will be capable of
locally strong wind gusts and small hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Afternoon heat indices will reach 100 to 105 degrees Tuesday over
far southern and southeast Kansas near the Oklahoma border.

A few strong thunderstorms may clip far southeast Kansas near the
Oklahoma border for a few hours Tuesday afternoon.

Off-and-on chances for showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday
through the weekend. There remains quite a bit of uncertainty
surrounding this period, so please stay tuned for later forecasts.


Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
