No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are requested to report any flooding or weather-related damage today and tonight. GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY: Storms this afternoon and evening will move to the north-northeast at 40 to 50 mph. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following
counties, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Grayson, Hancock, Hardin, Hart,
Larue, Meade, Nelson, Ohio and Spencer.
* WHEN...Until 1030 PM CDT /1130 PM EDT/.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may
become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 436 PM CDT /536 PM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Shepherdsville, Tell City,
Leitchfield, Hodgenville, Hartford, Brandenburg, Hardinsburg
and Pioneer Village.
