This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue late this
afternoon and into the evening. Torrential rainfall, gusty winds,
and cloud to ground lightning will be the main threats with the
strongest storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected each afternoon and evening.
These storms will be capable of producing lightning, localized gusty
damaging winds, and brief heavy rainfall.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

FLOYD...MEADE...SOUTHWESTERN JEFFERSON...SOUTHWESTERN BULLITT AND
HARDIN COUNTIES THROUGH 245 AM EDT...

At 154 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Brandenburg to 9 miles west of
Elizabethtown. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Elizabethtown, Brandenburg, Valley Station, Radcliff, Vine Grove,
Muldraugh, West Point, Elizabeth, Ekron, and New Middletown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
