This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Moderate to heavy snow will develop and move across the outlook area
tonight with widespread dangerous road conditions. Significant
amounts of snowfall are expected. Please refer to the winter weather
message for specific amounts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Snow will taper off Wednesday morning, with scattered flurries or
light snow showers in the afternoon. Additional snow showers are
expected Wednesday night followed by very cold temperatures for
Thursday and Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter are encouraged to report snow amounts to the National Weather
Service.

  Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kentucky...

  Kentucky River at Frankfort Lock affecting Anderson, Woodford and
  Franklin Counties.

  Kentucky River at Lockport Lock affecting Henry, Carroll and Owen
  Counties.

  Kentucky River at High Bridge Lock affecting Garrard, Mercer and
  Jessamine Counties.

.Heavy rain from the past several days caused the river to rise.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Kentucky River at Lockport Lock.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 42.0 feet, Water approaches homes along High St. in
  Monterey.
  At 43.0 feet, KY 389 floods near Lockport. Homes in along High St.
  in Monterey flood. Lower end of Worth and Clyde St. flood. Water
  approaches buildings along River Front St. in Gratz.
  At 45.0 feet, Water is a foot deep in homes along High St. in
  Monterey. Some buildings along Worth and Clyde St. flood. Point of
  Rock and Old Landing Rd flood in several areas. Water approaches
  buildings in Gratz.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:30 AM EST Tuesday the stage was 45.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 30 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:30 AM EST Tuesday was 45.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Saturday evening and continue falling to 26.3 feet Sunday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    45.9 feet on 03/06/2021.
