WEDNESDAY EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Cold temperatures this morning will freeze lingering wet spots from
recent heavy rainfall. Watch for black ice during the morning
commute.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Some light snow is possible Tuesday morning as a quick moving system
pushes through the region a dusting to a half inch is possible for
some.

A more impactful winter storm will move into the region Tuesday
night and during the day on Wednesday. Impactful snow accumulations
are likely. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the outlook
area.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 2 and
  6 inches possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north
  central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
  likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be difficult. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.

Kentucky...

  Kentucky River at Ford Lock affecting Clark and Madison Counties.

.Recent heavy rain is causing the river to rise.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM EST Sunday was 26.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.7
    feet Tuesday evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
