* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
  is exposed to these temperatures.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

A steady snow develops late this evening into the overnight hours.
The snow may fall heavy at times after midnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Periods of snow are expected Wednesday through Thursday morning.
This additional snow should bring event total snow accumulations to 3
to 7 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.

Apparent temperatures of zero to ten above are expected at many
locations late Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and again
Thursday night into Friday morning.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO
NOON EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
  7 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast, south central, and
  southeast Kentucky.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
  could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first primary wave of snow will arrive
  this evening and last until around midday Wednesday, with a
  possible break during parts of the afternoon and early evening
  before a second system brings a lighter round of snow later
  Wednesday evening through Thursday morning, especially east of
  Interstate 75.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

  Red River at Clay City affecting Powell and Estill Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

The next statement will be issued this evening at 1000 PM EST.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING TO WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Elevated river levels caused by excessive rainfall are
  expected.

* WHERE...Red River at Clay City.

* WHEN...From this morning to Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Low lying areas flood. Maple street near
  the Red River Ranch as well as Pompeii Road off of Highway 15 are
  impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 AM EST Tuesday the stage was 16.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is falling, but will continue to run
    high through tonight.
  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
