This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern Indiana
and central Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

   Flood Watch.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A Flood Watch continues for early Saturday through midday Sunday. A
large storm system is expected to drench the region early Saturday
through Sunday. Forecast amounts range 3 to 5" of rain across
southern IN and central KY. This rain will likely lead to areal and
river flooding, as well as isolated flash flooding.

Winds gusts of 35-40 mph are expected on Sunday.

Temperatures fall into the teens Sunday night, so lingering wet
spots may freeze. Black ice may be a concern for the Monday morning
commute.

Snow accumulations will be possible Tuesday night-Wednesday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are asked to report instances of heavy rain and flooding
tomorrow.

SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following areas, Clark
  IN, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison IN and Perry and Kentucky, including
  the following areas, Adair, Allen, Anderson, Barren, Bourbon,
  Boyle, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Butler, Casey, Clark KY, Clinton,
  Cumberland, Edmonson, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Grayson, Green,
  Hancock, Hardin, Harrison KY, Hart, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine,
  Larue, Lincoln, Logan, Madison, Marion, Meade, Mercer, Metcalfe,
  Monroe, Nelson, Nicholas, Ohio, Oldham, Russell, Scott KY, Shelby,
  Simpson, Spencer, Taylor, Warren, Washington KY and Woodford.

* WHEN...From 1 AM EST  /midnight CST/ Saturday through Sunday
  afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
  flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - 3 to 5 inches of rainfall on top of already saturated soils
    will lead to significant flooding concerns through much of
    the weekend.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Green River near Mammoth Cave.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Green River Ferry closes to RV and trailer
  traffic due to high water. Heavy loads will be at the judgment of
  the ferry operator considering the 12 ton load limit of ferry.
  Backcountry camping on the Green River floodplain is prohibited.
  At 20.1 feet, Launching of paddle craft is prohibited.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CST Friday the stage was 25.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will fall to 24.0 feet tomorrow morning.
    It will likely rise above flood stage early Sunday morning.
    This Flood Advisory may be upgraded to a Flood Warning.
  - Action stage is 20.0 feet.
  - Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
