This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon into Tonight. There is a chance for thunderstorms and a risk of heavy rainfall from this afternoon into tonight. Some storms may be strong to severe at times. Damaging winds are the primary threat, but a brief spinup tornado and large hail are also possible. The greatest risk is mainly south of KY80 and the Hal Rogers Parkway. If heavy rainfall is realized, isolated instances of flash flooding are possible. Outside of thunderstorms, wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph are possible at times. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Clay, Jackson, Knox, Lee, Owsley and Wolfe. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will bring periods of heavy rain through early Sunday morning, which may result in isolated to scattered instances of flash flooding.
