This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon into Tonight.

There is a chance for thunderstorms and a risk of heavy rainfall
from this afternoon into tonight. Some storms may be strong to severe
at times. Damaging winds are the primary threat, but a brief spinup
tornado and large hail are also possible. The greatest risk is mainly
south of KY80 and the Hal Rogers Parkway. If heavy rainfall is
realized, isolated instances of flash flooding are possible.

Outside of thunderstorms, wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph are
possible at times.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Additional thunderstorms with strong wind gusts are possible on
Sunday.

  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, south central, and southeast
  Kentucky, including the following counties, in east central
  Kentucky, Bath, Estill, Fleming, Menifee, Montgomery, Powell and
  Rowan. In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski,
  Rockcastle, Wayne and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Clay,
  Jackson, Knox, Lee, Owsley and Wolfe.

* WHEN...Through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains
  and ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will bring periods of
    heavy rain through early Sunday morning, which may result in
    isolated to scattered instances of flash flooding. Debris
    from the February flood event may have left clogged drains
    and ditches that could result in flooding when it otherwise
    may not have occurred.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
