...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Louisiana and southeast Texas, including the
  following areas, in Louisiana, Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles,
  Beauregard, Calcasieu, East Cameron, Evangeline, Iberia,
  Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Lower St. Martin, Rapides, St.
  Landry, St. Mary, Upper St. Martin, Vermilion, Vernon, and
  West Cameron. In southeast Texas, Hardin, Jefferson, Northern
  Jasper, Northern Newton, Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern
  Newton, and Tyler.

* Through this evening

* Heavy to very heavy rain associated with the remnants of Beta
  will potentially lead to additional rainfall total amounts of 2
  to 4 inches with locally higher amounts through this evening.

* Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding in the areas that
  receive the heaviest rainfall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

* Flood Warning for
  the Sabine River Near Deweyville.
* From Friday morning until further notice.
* At 7:45 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 23.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Friday
  morning and continue rising to a crest of 24.3 feet Saturday
  morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Sabine River Near Orange.
* Until Thursday evening.
* At 7:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 3.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 4.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a
  maximum value of 4.2 feet just after midnight tonight.
* Impact...At 4.0 feet, Flooding of mainly secondary roads near the
  river can be expected. Steward Road may become impassable near the
  weigh station in Louisiana. The Louisiana weigh station is
  flooded. Water surrounds the Louisiana and Texas welcome centers.

* Forecast...The river will oscillate above flood stage with a
  maximum value of 5.2 feet Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 5.0 feet, River Road in North Lake Charles and Mims
  Road in Westlake are flooded. Extensive marshland flooding will
  occur.

  at 7:35 PM CDT Tuesday was 2.9 feet.
* Forecast...The river will oscillate above flood stage with a
  maximum value of 3.3 feet Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 3.0 feet, Water over lowest portions of Goos Ferry
  Road. Cars should be moved to higher ground.
