* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Connecticut River at Northampton.

* WHEN...Until early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 113.0 feet, Minor flooding will affect portions of
  Northampton in the vicinity of the Oxbow and Hadley along Aqua
  Vitae Road. Farming interests in Hatfield outside flood dike
  protection will experience flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:00 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 112.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 112.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:00 PM EDT Tuesday was 112.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 112.8
    feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage late
    tomorrow evening.
  - Flood stage is 112.0 feet.

  - At 12:30 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 15.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 12:30 PM EDT Tuesday was 15.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.4
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
