...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level
  expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
  waterways (3.6 to 11.5 feet Mean Lower Low Water).

* WHERE...Eastern Norfolk MA, Suffolk MA, Eastern Essex MA,
  Dukes MA and Nantucket MA Counties.

* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Minor coastal flooding begins on Easy Street in
  Nantucket. Other pockets of minor coastal flooding are expected
  across northeast Massachusetts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...North winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of eastern, northeastern and southeastern
  Massachusetts and southern Rhode Island.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
